At a glance
- Client: Antlia Services, Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside.
- What they do: an industrial engineering firm that repairs and overhauls customers' plant machinery, and sends engineers out for on-site maintenance and shutdown work.
- What we built: an operations planner with one live scheduling calendar at its centre, shown on a screen in the workshop.
- When: scoped June 2026, live 20 August 2026.
- Result: 80% fewer phone calls from engineers to the office asking for information.
The problem
Antlia had three versions of the day. The office had the bookings. The workshop had its own view of the week. The engineers out on customers' sites had whatever they were told before they left. Every change had to be passed on by hand, usually by phone, and the version that was wrong was always the one somebody was working from.
For a firm whose engineers may be inside a customer's plant on a shutdown, with the clock running, a wrong detail is not a small thing. It means a call to the office, a wait for someone to find the answer, and a customer watching the wait.
What we built
One operations planner with a single calendar at its centre. The office books and moves jobs. The workshop sees the day on a wall screen that updates the moment anything changes. The engineers see the same day, with the same job details, before they set off and whenever it changes. There is one version of the day and everyone is looking at it.
It was scoped in June 2026 and went live on 20 August 2026. We are still refining it with the team as they use it, which is how every system we build settles in.
What changed
Phone calls from engineers to the office asking for information have fallen by about 80% since the system went live. The office spends that time on the work rather than on relaying it, and the engineers spend it on the job in front of them.
Could this work for you?
